Affiliate marketing Tips

Affiliate marketing can be extremely lucrative, but a lot of people seem to have a hard time with it. I think the main reason most people fail to see good income through affiliate marketing is that they give up too soon. It’s not something that will make you rich overnight unless you happen to get Really lucky somehow, but the odds of that happening are slim to none. To grow real wealth with affiliate marketing takes time, hard work, and dedication.

In this article, I’m going to be teaching you a few things you can do to really boost your results with affiliate marketing.

Hide Affiliate Links

Use a URL shortener, or a WordPress plugin like Pretty Links, to hide your affiliate links. This will help your SEO, but it will also make people more likely to click your links, because they don’t look like spammy affiliate links.

Use Video

Video is a great way to promote affiliate products for several reasons. First, people just love video. It’s a great format, because it lets people sit back and enjoy the content, whereas reading can sometimes feel like work. Plus, if you submit your videos to YouTube, you can bring in extra traffic from YouTube itself, AND videos posted to YouTube will often jump to the first page of Google quickly for the keywords you use. Just be sure you use your main keyword in the title of your video, and don’t forget to properly tag your video.

Use Reviews

Hopefully you’ve used all of the products you’re marketing, because it really helps you promote a product if you’ve used it and you believe in it. But if not, it’s important not to lie and say you have. This could really tarnish your reputation, especially if a product turns out to be a dud.

If a product you want to promote is something you would never use, or that you can’t use (for example, you’re allergic to one of the ingredients or you’re a male who wants to promote a cosmetic product) then you can do what I call a quasi-review.

A quasi-review is one that is basically compiled from existing reviews. Instead of saying, “I used this product, and here are my results”, you say, “Take a look at what people are saying about this product!”

Then you take brief snippets from existing reviews and paste them like this:

“I am no longer embarrassed to be seen in public thanks to this product. It really changed my life!”

“I didn’t see any results the first few days, but just as I was about to give up, a miracle happened! My skin is totally acne free!”

“It really works!”

Don’t use entire reviews, because this could be considered plagiarism. Instead, use these snippets as examples.
